Women’s Ministry
The Women’s Ministries at Forest Hills Wesleyan Church strive to encourage and strengthen women in their everyday lives. We believe in the saving power of the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe in the power of prayer in our own lives as well as the congregations. Ladies of all ages are included and welcomed to our activities.
Bible Study
Bible study is every Monday night from 5:30-6:30pm. This is held in room 2. The study is over the book of Proverbs.
Annual Rummage & Bake Sale
The women’s ministry at Forest Hills Wesleyan Church puts on an annual rummage & bake sale in May. They use the money raised from this sale to support other church ministries throughout the year.
Thanksgiving Baskets
The women’s ministry at Forest Hills Wesleyan Church does an annual collection from the members to buy groceries for family that they see are in need of a Thanksgiving dinner. Last year they were able to provide two baskets for families within our church.
Operation Christmas Child
“The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Through this project, Samaritan’s Purse partners with local churches worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations.” -samaritanspurse.org
The women’s ministry at Forest Hills Wesleyan Church collects shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. This collection takes place in early November. If you are interested in donating a shoe box, please call the church office for more information.
Angel Tree
The women’s ministry puts together a Christmas tree for children involved within our church. The tree is filled with homemade ornaments with items the child needs written on them. The church provides clothes and a toy or game that the child has on their wish list.
Recently we have added the Borrowed hearts Organization that helps with the clothing needs of foster children in our area. The church provides pajamas for these children at Christmas time.
